I have been trying for 4 months and have spent over $6000 on ads, radio, newspaper, purchased 300 leads, Prewebb articles, bandit signs, and have gotten over 700 prospects to talk with but it is very evident that I need to be able to keep the flow going without spending the money.

The other alternative is to make money when my website is viewed to fund my expenses such as you have laid out. I am not very internet savy so I need specific help to how your plan works and how to get it up and running.”

Thanks for the question Dave, and I think I can help…

So here’s what I can see from your email…

1: That you’re really determined to make your business work, which is great.

2: That you’re really trying everything under the sun to see if it will work… Radio, press releases, classifieds, signs, lead companies, etc… (I did the same thing when I was getting started).

3: You’ve realized that it’s important to make money, even if your prospects don’t join your business in order to cover your advertising costs.

So here’s my advice…

A jack-of-all-trades is a master of none.

In order for you to produce leads at a reasonable cost, (which is from $1.00 to $5.00 per lead), you have to pick ONE single method of advertising, and stick with it until you master it.

And I’d say you’ve “mastered” something, when you can produce as many leads as you want, at the cost you want, AND be able to teach that skill to someone else.

You can choose from:

* Pay-Per-Click (Google Adwords)
* SEO (articles and blogs),
* Social Media (Twitter, Facebook, YouTube)
* Or old-school “person-to-person networking”

Even though I can’t see your capture pages or your ads, I can bet you’re losing the marketing game right now for three reasons:

1: Your ad copy probably needs some work. This is the single most important skills you can master, yet the most neglected by networkers.

2: Your capture page probably isn’t matched perfectly to each ad, and each advertising medium. They have to be completely congruent in order for you to get an acceptable conversion rate.

3: You haven’t mastered any one particular advertising medium, which means your results will be a fraction of what they could be.

Your SUCCESS is in the details of this marketing process, yet you can only master an eye for those details, through a focused education on each medium.

For example, even though I’m really good at marketing and writing copy, I would still feel uneasy about producing leads through classified ads in newspapers, because I haven’t done that in about 5 years.

I’d have to study some experts and run some tests in various papers for serveral months before I really knew what I was doing.

The same thing applies to SEO, PPC, or YouTube.

Throwing things against the wall, and money at different ad mediums isn’t going to work.

You’ve got to pick ONE method, and master it.

Now to answer the second part to your question…

You said you wanted to focus on free, and low-cost advertising options because it’s getting expensive…

Well I’d focus on converting the leads I DO PRODUCE into paying customers, because your time is valuable too…

You could spend the next six months producing thousands of leads for free using Twitter, but if you don’t know how to convert them into distributors or customers, then you’ve wasted six months of your time.

On the other hand, if you DO learn how to covert them into paying customers, then you can re-coup your ad costs, and take advantage of paid advertising methods like PPC, for “free”.

This “funded-proposal” method is how I’ve always built my business, and it’s what allows me to produce 500+ leads per day using PPC, at no cost.

In fact, I literally get paid to produce leads, while most people spend money.

New Year, 2010. Decide to Earn Cash and Make Money Online

The 2009 is gone and the 2010 is here. This past year was bad for so many friends, neighbors, co-workers and others. many of them lost their jobs, their homes, some of them lost their life time retirement saving.

Some of them are homeless and living with relatives. With all our heart we which a better 2010 for all of those that struggled this year. I hope that most of them come back to the labor market and start living their life as usual.
be positive, keep going, do not give up, things are changing. For all others that did not struggle this 2009, please celebrate this ending of 2009 and beginning of 2010 with caution, no big parties, no big spending. Just be thankful that just had a better year.

As you all know, and for those who don’t, the military offers excellent professional development programs within its community besides offering college opportunities. Around 75% of our military members are properly trained “professionals”.

Assertive decision-makers, focused, multi-taskers, fast learners in a very fast-paced environment are just few of the characteristics that belong to our outstanding Armed Forces veterans. They deserve a “veteran business opportunity” that is up to par with their outstanding achievements.

Panama’s November festivities are here. Independence Day, Flag Day, in fact, it seems like all Panama’s holidays happen to fall into this month. My daughter and I decided to get out of town this week. We really needed it since we live in Panama city. Something away from the city lights, noise , heat, and everyday stress. How lucky were we once we got an invitation from Clare and Scott who happened to live in Boquete. Boquete is a mountain town in Panama. Unlike other towns is not hot or busy at all. Completely the opposite, peace and quiet, just what we were looking for. Here are some pics from this wonderful place in Central America:
